Sassy Sponsorship

Yay for weekends! So glad Saturday is here and it is time for a little R&R!

Here is another sponsorship for Sassy Studio Designs. The theme is glitter, the challenge blog is Totally Papercrafts. This card is a little edgy for me, I usually go more toward girly, but have been wanting to use this new release, Sassy Skater, from SSD for a few weeks now. I couldn't resist giving her a little fun streak in her hair. Her skateboard is all glittery as is the patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you will check out the challenge for a chance to win some Sassy Studio images.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! Welcome to another Phindy's Friday challenge! This week the challenge is glitter, glitz and glamour. I've taken a playful approach to the challenge, using this little cutie, Mommy's Purse, who found her momma's makeup and helped herself. this image makes me smile. I can remember doing this myself, guess my love of makeup started early!

Here is a close up, so you can see the sparkle! The purse is coated with crystal effects to get a leathery look. Her shirt and hair bands have plenty of stickles, and the compact and other makeup are shimmering from a Sakura stardust pen.

Hope you will check out the Phindy's Challenge blog to see what the DT has created for today's challenge. Play along for two chances to win. A random winner and a top pick each win a Phindy's Place gift certificate every week. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do, you get a second entry. Check out the store, there are lots of beautiful images waiting to be glittered up.

Whimsy and Stars New Release

Today is the big day! Mabelle is releasing a whole lot of wonderful new digital images! I was floored by the number and variety in this release! You can check out the whole release on the Whimsy and Stars blog, and purchase the image in the Etsy digi store.

It was hard to chose which image I wanted to use for today's card, but this little bug character "Mimi", just makes me smile! She is surely dressed to impress with her hat and dress. She was fun to color and glitter up. I used the Stamp with Fun #108 for the layout of this one.

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you check out what the other DT girls made with the new images (links are on my sidebar).  And pop over to the Whimsy and Stars blog to see it all!

Happy Thursday! Today is the last day to enter the challenge for this week at Delightful Inspiration. So I've got a little sneak peek for you of the freebie you will get in you email box for playing along with last week's image.

This is Flutterby Fairy. Isn't she cute? So if you needed a little push to finish up your card, here she is!

She was so much fun to color. She is also very stickled up (if you click on the photo, it will enlarge it if you would like to see the sparkle). I used a simple sketch, to keep the focus on the sweet fairy. It is from SCS (sketch 330).

Now I'm off to bed!  Have a great night everyone.

Another post for today! Faith has been putting out many manly images at Designed2Delight. I don't know about you, but I really struggle with masculine cards, so these new images are a welcome addition to my collection.

This one is called Lakeside shack. Love the serene looking mountains in the distance.

I used sketch #71 from Limelight Papercrafts, but flipped it over.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week so far.

Tuesday Morning Sketches guest designer

Happy Tuesday! Here we are with another Tuesday Morning Sketch. The sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle shop. They generously provided me with the Aquarium set for this card.

I was lucky enough to have the wave die cut and fun wavy paper, it came from a secret sis package (don't know for sure who it was from yet), but it was perfect for this card. So thanks to my fantastic SS! I used one of my favorite quotes from Finding Nemo on the card, my kiddos think it is so funny!

Come on over to, Tuesday Morning Sketches and see what the DT did with the sketch. Can't wait to see your take on it too. Hope you will join us this week!

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the third Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long blog hop for 2011. The ladies from the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group have a hop on the 25th of every month.  By December, you have a good selection of Magnolia cards ready to send. I participated in most of the months last year and really enjoyed it.

You can find the order of the hop on the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog. And Magnolia-licous on line always has the best selection of Magnolia stamps, if you see something you need while hopping. This one is called Tilda with Wreath, I see that only the mini version of this one is in stock right now, but I'm sure Diana could get it for you if you wanted it.

If you arrived here from Jessica's blog you are in the right place. When you are through here  hop on over to Nadyne's blog and see what she has crafted up for this month. Thanks for hopping along with us, hope you will join us on the 25th of May!

I've used the the sketch from Sparkle's Christmas card challenge blog (#21) for the design of my card. Tilda is colored with copics and stickled up for some sparkle. I don't have the brands of paper or ribbon, they came in a card kit from one of my online friends Beth. Thanks Beth!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Whimsy and Stars sneak peek

Happy Easter! Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you are having a lovely Easter with family and friends if you celebrate.

On Thursday Whimsy and Stars is having a big Spring release. I always love the girly images from Mabelle (the talented artist behind these fabby images), and there are some cute ones coming. But I decided to color this one up first, cause it was a bit different. It's called Cups of Kindness (will be available on 4-28). I love the teacups, sitting kind of askew. Make sure to check out the Whimsy and Stars blog on Thursday to see all of the new images!

I've used Tracy's Eat, Sleep, Stamp sketch (Sketchy Thursday #127) for this one. Her sketches rock, they are always so well put together. And I'm using the Play Date Cafe color challenge (PDCC78). I love red and pink together, and throwing in baby blue was a fun combo.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great Sunday.

Phindy's Friday Challenge with a hop!

TGIF! Friday always means a new challenge at Phindy's Place challenge blog. This week's challenge is paper piecing. I really love to paper piece, but never think to do it. We are also celebrating one year of challenges on the Phindy's Challenge blog with a hop.

If you've just stumbled upon my blog, head to the Phindy's challenge blog to start at the beginning. If you've come from the very talented Dorcas' blog, you are in the right spot. The usual prizes are up for grabs, but in addition Phindy is generously offering a $10 gift certificate to one lucky hopper who collects the secret sentence along the hop.

Here's what your need to do: collect a word from each blog along the hop to make up the message, then post it in the comments on the Phindy's challenge blog  (which will be hidden until the hop is over!)  Hop is open until midnight (GMT) April 28th.
So this week, you have THREE chances to win: the blog hop, the random winner of the challenge and the pick of the week. So what are you waiting for? Get out paper and a pen and start collecting the words for the secret sentence. Now hop on over to the super talented Linda's blog and see what she paper pieced this week.

Thanks so much for dropping by today.

Dare to Be Sassy Thursday

Our challenge this week on the SSD blog is pastel colors. I used the Little Honey's Easter Bunny image for mine with some of my much hoarded MME papers.

This cool sketch comes from the Crafty Ho's Challenge blog, sketch 57. It was a really fun and different sketch.

It's a short and sweet one today. I need to go referee (um I mean play with) these kids. Spring break is wearing thin already, here. My oldest actually misses school.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great week.

Whimsy and Stars sneak peek

Please scroll down one post for the Tuesday Morning Sketches post.

Mabelle has been busy drawing up some cute new images for Whimsy and Stars. The big Spring Release will be here on April 28th!

In the meantime, she is releasing one digi today. How cute is this little girl? She is called With All of My Heart. Such a sweet image and fun to color. She'd be great for so many different occasions. Mother's Day and Father's Day, birthdays, thinking of yous. It would be cute to stamp or place some words in that heart, too.

I used the Sketch and Stash challenge #59 for this. My image is new, but the patterned paper is some Basic Grey that I've been hoarding for so long. I think it looks like a watercolor painting, it's so soft and pretty.

Thank You for dropping by today. Hope your week is going well!

Tuesday Morning Sketches guest designer

It's Tuesday Morning and I'm so glad to be guest designing with Tuesday Morning Sketches for the month of April. This is my third week, and Melissa issued a challenge rather than a sketch for today. The challenge is to make a Surprise Pop Up card. Beate has this wonderful tutorial on SCS, even with a video. I had never tried this before, but it was pretty easy after reading/watching the tutorial.

The sponsor this week is Chi Chi Memories. I was given this adorable bunny girl image from their Easter collection.

Now here is the surprise! When you pull the ribbon on the top, the card slides up. I've got a sentiment placed inside. Kids would love this fold, it's so interactive!

Thanks for dropping by, hope you will play along at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.

Stop and Smell the Flowers

I don't know why it is, but I really love images that are from the back. In fact one of my favorite photos is of my oldest and his cousin walking hand in hand taken from the back. A Day For Daisies has lots of images drawn from this angle. And I've bought several, so you'll be seeing more of them soon.

This image is called Flowers for Mommy. The challenge last Friday on the A Day For Daisies blog is #16 "Dots and Stripes". I really love both and could have gone either way, but decided on dots.

My sketch is the April sketch from Jen del Muro SFYTT. Another fun sketch this month.

And I'm also entering the Paper Sundaes #65 texture challenge.

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope your week is starting off well.

Windsong

Every Saturday there is a new challenge on the Card Ideas blog. This week the challenge is "for the boys". Great challenge since I struggle with manly cards. I used the beautiful new Windsong image available at Designed2Delight, thought it was a perfect image for a masculine card. Faith has released several new manly images recently, check them out in the D2D digi store.

My sketch comes from Tracy at Eat, Sleep, Stamp. It is her Sketchy Thursday #126. She has a fantastic blog with the nicest sketches posted each week, it you haven't seen them, go and check it out!

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope your weekend is going well. Going to fire up the grill tonight and cook some flank steaks. Even though we grill year round, I really enjoying grilling when it is nicer outside.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! Got a card here for Phindy's Friday challenge. It's a color challenge this week (purple and teal). I decided to go with an Easter image, Cheep Cheep, there are so many cute ones in Phindy's store.

Hope you will stop by the blog and check out the DT samples, they are awesome again this week. If you want to play along, you don't need to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice in the drawing, so that is pretty good incentive!

I used the sketch from Card Patterns #110 for the layout of this card.

A Brew for You!

Everyone knows I love my wine, but I wont turn down a cold beer at a Yankee game on a hot day (Bud Light in a bottle, preferably)! When I saw this new image from Designed2Delight, Birthday Brew, I immediately knew I'd have to get out the liquid applique and crystal effects! This fun set even comes with some sentiments! I kept it simple here, since it is a manly card.

Here's a little close up of the beer. Doesn't it look good enough to drink? After applying the liquid applique I sprinkled it with a bit of glitter before I heat set it, so the foam looks all sparkly in person. I've got a feeling my hubby is going to be requesting this image for some upcoming birthdays for friends of his.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

A bit of Whimsy and Stars

This week is just flying by! I've got this little cutie, Searching, from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars to show you today. I love the cute images she draws and the fab and funky clothes (I'd love to find a little dress like this for Lilah).  Stay tuned Mabelle has a big new release coming soon, and I was lucky enough to get a peek at what she has in the works, and it is great stuff!

I used The Corrosive Challenge Blog challenge 111 sketch for this. The sentiment I lifted from Steven Tyler on American Idol. He told a contestant, "You don't look a day over fabulous" and immediately I thought of this image.

After I photographed the card originally I realized I forgot the crystal effects, so back to the desk I went. So I took a little close up to show the "glass" in her looking glass.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

How did the weekend go so fast? Always happens that way. I had to have a card ready for a birthday party today. My oldest had a party to go to at Build a Bear for a classmate. And as luck would have it, this is the image Joanna picked for us this month for our challenge, it worked perfectly!

I used the sketch from Eat, Sleep, Stamp's Sketchy Thursday #125 for the layout of this card. Check out Tracy's sketches each Thursday, they are really great, and her blog is awesome, too!

Sassy Studio Projects

Happy Saturday. I've got two cards to share with you today using Sassy Studio Designs images. They both were made for challenges that SSD is sponsoring this month.

The first uses this cameo image which was a freebie in the Paper Craft Planet group. Each Friday Lindsay offers a freebie to the group. Sometimes it's a cameo, sometimes a background and sometimes a full sized image! Check it out on Fridays, it's only up for 24 hours, but really cool if you get a chance to grab it! This one is for the Colorful Creations challenge, which is Spring/Easter this week.

This next one uses one of the yet to be released images a pregnant Sassy! She is so hip and cute, she will be available next Saturday! This card I made for The Outlawz stash challenge. My stash items are this black and white patterned paper. I bought a boat load of it, and use it sparingly (hoard the majority of it, lol). I love black and white together with a pop of color.

Thanks for dropping by today. Check out the SSD blog for challenges every Thursday and lots of great sponsorship challenges. Lots of chances for you to win some SSD images!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Phindy's Friday Challenge

It's Friday so that means it's time for another challenge on the Phindy's Friday Challenge blog. This week the challenge is Easter or Spring. Check out all the dt samples, they are wonderful!

I used this adorable little Spring Bouquet image from Phindy's Place store. I think she is so cute, probably because she looks like Lilah.  It's so funny, because both Cal and Liam thought this was Lilah. Cal asked, "how did you get a stamp of her?", too funny. I think this one has to go to my Nana for Easter.

Hope you will join us at Phindy's for this challenge. You don't need to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is a pretty good incentive.

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Challenges that inspired this card:
Sketch and Stash - SKETCH (Kioshi paper is from my hoarded stash)
Craft Us Crazy - Easter/ Spring
CCEE Stampers - Add a doily die and/or lace

Spotty Dotty Reminder

Just a little reminder that you've got a few days left to play in the challenge over at the Card Ideas blog. The theme is dots and spots, pretty easy one, so I hope you will join us.

I used Patches from Designed2Delight, he is an older Easter image from last year. You don't need to use a D2D image to play along, but we love to see them if you've got them. And if  you don't have any yet, drop on over to the Delightful Inspiration blog and grab up the first freebie for April (only available till Thursday). And it even has polkadots, so you could use it for the challenge.

I used Tracy's sketch from Eat, Sleep, Stamp, Sketchy Thursday #124 for the layout. She posts the best sketches every Thursday.

Hope you have a wonderful day. We have some sunshine, so I'm off to get the babies out in the yard. They both wanted to go out so badly yesterday even in the rain. They both are very happy to play on the swing set this year, it's very cute.

Thanks for dropping by today!

Tuesday Morning Sketches guest designer

Happy Tuesday! I was invited to be a guest designer for Tuesday Morning Sketches for the month of April. I was so excited to participate in the challenges of this awesome blog with their talented DT. Thanks Melissa for having me this month!

Here is my take on the sketch from Melissa, such a fab sketch this week. The sponsor is Deedee's Digis, the image I chose is called, Cup of Joy. It's hard to see in this photo, but the flowers are popped up for some dimension. I have a thing for tea cups, so I thought this image was cute.

Check out all of the samples on the TMS blog. Hope to see you playing along with us this week.

Whimsy and Stars Girl with Kitty

Happy Monday! I've got a little Whimsy and Stars card here today. I love this sweet Girl with Kitty image.

She paired up so well with my new MME papers (think this is the Gertie paper pad), the cool thing is that they are double sided. So I only used one piece for this card, the gingham yellow is the back of the blue print.

I used the Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C81) sketch for this week.

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope your week is off to a great start!

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF! It's Friday and April Fools Day, so our challenge this week at the Phindy's Friday Challenge blog is all about humor. Hope you will play along with us this week. You don't need to use a Phindy's image, but if you do, you get entered twice. There are lots of funny images in the store that would work splendidly for this challenge.

For my card I used the Mrs. Comfy Cooks image and the MoJo Monday sketch #184. Isn't she a hoot? If she looks a bit flushed, it because she's not just cooking with that wine!

This one is for one of my best girl friends. We always joke around about "wine thirty".  Hoping she will get a kick out of it.

Stop by the Phindy's Friday Challenge blog and check out all the funny DT samples.

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
