D2D Saturday Designer's Challenge

A day late for the designer's challenge at D2D. We had wet and heavy snow yesterday and it knocked out our power. What a messy Saturday! On to the challenge, this week it's pumpkins. Faith has lots of pumpkin images in her store that would work well for the challenge. While it isn't required to use a D2D image, it's fun to see them! The image here is called Autumn Harvest.

Thanks for dropping by today. Off to finish up Halloween stuff for tomorrow. Have a great Sunday!

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF!  Time for another Phindy's Friday Challenge. The theme this week is paper piecing, something I love but never remember to do. Phindy has lots of gorgeous images in the shop to chose from that would work perfectly for a paper piecing challenge.

I went with Mine and Yours this week, he is such a sweet image and such fun to color, I've pieced his overhalls with some tiny dotted papers. I've glittered up the cookies for fun, and in person they look like yummy sugar cookies!

Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!

Hope 2011 butterfly

I haven't had the chance to play along with Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp challenge for a few weeks now, so was glad I could squeeze in a card this week. This one is sketch 151.

This image is from Faith at D2D, it's called Hope 2011 Cancer Awareness Set. I love it, butterflies are so beautiful anyway, and incorporating the pink ribbon is perfect here. You can see the dimension a bit, I printed it three times and layered the wings, then the body separately on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today. It's my baby's birthday, she turns two. I can't believe it, seems like yesterday that she was born!

SSD Steampunk Progressive Challenge

Sassy Studio Designs has reached 500 members on their Papercraftplanet group! Such excitement. As a celebration, we are having a progressive relay challenge.

Lindsay has drawn a series of Steampunk images, just for this challenge. This one is called Victoria, she is the third image in the challenge. Today's challenge is vintage, victorian or distressed. Yikes, that is a challenge for me! Not my usual, but it was fun to try.

Stop over to the PCP group for some chatting and trivia contests as well. After the relay is over, all of the images will be available in the store.

My sentiment is from Paulette over at Create with TLC, it was a freebie a while back. She has the most creative sentiments!

My sketch is this week's Midnight Madness Sketch challenge (MMSC126).

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you are having a great week.

It's Monday, yet another weekend has flown by! I've got two cute cards to share today, both made with Mabelle RO's Whimsy and Stars images. And both are for the SCS Hope You Can Cling to challenges that are going on during October.

This first one is for the pink animals challenge. It was fun to color up this sweet little teddy (Ballerina Teddy) in pink for a change. I've used Carly's sketch #42 for the layout. I mentioned this last time, but it is worth repeating, Carly is a really talented girl who draws sketches and has her own sketch challenge blog Sketches by Carly! Love to see crafty kids!

Challenges:
Forever Friends - 2W, SIO, must include animal - (1st week)
Now the second one is for the SCS Colors of Hope challenge (use brown, yellow and green). Boy this Basic Gray Origins paper was made for the challenge! The image is again a Whimsy and Stars one called Sunflower Teapot. I've used Jen Shults's Deconstructed Sketch #23 for the layout.

You can get all the details on the SSD blog. If you've arrived from super talented Sara's blog you are in the right place.

For my card I've used Mortisha Honey. I think she is fabulous and a bit creepy. Think I'll send this to one of my girlfriends to plan a "ghoul's night out", lol. I've layered up most of the panels on foam squares to give it lots of dimension. Now hop on over and see the fabulous creation Rebecca has made for today.

TGIF! Time for another Phindy's Friday Challenge. The theme this week is Halloween. I just love Halloween, especially the costumes and candy that go with it! Phindy has so many adorable Halloween images in the store it was hard to decide which one to use, but finally I went with BOO!  I've got a few more Phindy Halloween images printed off, so you might see some more Halloween cards real soon!

Ghost costumes always remind me of the movie The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, love that movie! My kids' favorite line is "I got rocks" from Charlie Brown when he gets rocks rather than candy at one house, lol!

Hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week. Play along with the challenge to win some prizes. It's not necessary to use a Phindy image, but if you do you get entered twice, so that is some pretty good incentive!

Whimsy and Stars

How cute is this kitty? It was a fall release from Mabelle RO at Whimsy and Stars, called Pumpkin Kitty. I think it has such a sweet little face. The winter/holiday release is coming soon, and Mabelle is releasing some images in rubber soon (can't wait to see them)!

My ds#2 has the nick name"scradey cat", he thought it up himself when he was smaller, since he is afraid of everything. He always tells people that he is a big "scradey cat", so this card will be for him for Halloween. He will get a kick out of it for sure.

I glazed the whole pumpkin with crystal effects for a super shine.

Phindy's Friday Challenge

TGIF!  Welcome to another Phindy's Friday challenge. We are doing things a bit differently the first week of each month. Our challenge is anything goes, makes it super simple to play along. BUT, you must use a Phindy's Place image this week. Not hard to do, when there is a huge selection of images in the store to suit every taste!

I've used an image called Christmas Colt. I bought it last year to make a holiday card for my brother and his wife, and this is that card (I had good intentions, but just didn't get to it last year). Happily, I have it ready to go early this year. They are big horse lovers, they relocated to KY to work for a Thoroughbred newspaper, so I think this will be a perfect card for them.

Stop on over to the challenge blog and check out the DT cards. Hope you will play along with us this week!
